UOM

Definitions:

Base UOM : Smallest Unit you can save the inventory Item in the clinic. 

Sales UOM : Unit of Measure in which Item is Sold in.

Purchase UOM : Unit of Measure in which Item is Purchased in.

e.g:

For Medicine A the smallest unit to Breakdown is Tablet , therefore Base unit is Tabler, the items are purchased from vendor in Boxes. A box contains 25 tablets. The item is Sold to Patient in tablets dispensed.

• Base UOM: Tablet
• Purchase UOM: Box
• Sales UOM: Tablet

UOM Matrix : the conversion ration between one UOM to another.

e.g: A box contains 25 Tablets.

Set up of UOM

Unit of Measure (UOM) is set up in Management module under Master data – tabs UOM/UOM Matrix.

If a New code needs to be created Select Add+.

you can check if Code exists or create new by typing the name of code and Add UOM.

 Then set up the exchange ratio’s accordingly.
